*Had a good run this morning – my foot is better – I was flying on the pathway feeling on top of the world, even in the heat. 7.5k out I turned around to return home and realized why the run out had been so good. I cursed the steep wind that I faced returning. My own words came back to haunt me. “Honey, you can’t brag about a long golf drive that’s wind-aided in one breath, and then in the next breath complain that a bad drive is the fault of the wind.”
*We’re thrilled to bits that my husband’s sister and her daughter (15, same age as our youngest) were able to come to visit from Kenya. It’s been 5 years since we’ve seen any of his family. Tomorrow morning we’re heading west to show them some of the most beautiful spots on God’s earth.
*Blogging will be sporadic over the next couple of weeks. After all, this is not a travel blog.
*Photo – my Kathleen (17) – the Will o’ the Wisp – my A Major child – filling our lives with sunshine and joy. She left for Trinidad and Tobago this morning (at the airport at 4:15 A.M. – an ungodly hour) on a trip with the youth group from church. We’ll miss her on our trip.
*Next run: Monday morning along the coast of the Pacific Ocean
Next run sounds wonderful!
Love the pic….
Thanks, Dave. Looking forward to running at sea level again. Enjoy your vacation
