We spent the day hiking in the Rockies. Any day spent hiking in the Rockies is an awesome day. After taking in some spectacular views of lakes far below, snow-capped mountains seemingly at the same height, the surprisingly beautiful alpine flowers, we stumbled upon a stunningly beautiful waterfall just a short ways up a creek. The scene was refreshing and soul-satisfying. None of my photos do it justice – and maybe that’s the way it should be. I can’t recapture it artificially but can carry it with me in my mind and memory.
